100 Years – A Life Worth Reading

A Letter, by award-winning author of 21 books, Elizabeth Cooke

This book, A LETTER, is a testament to the value of a handwritten letter that expresses an emotional and specific tie to the recipient. In this digital world, it is impossible to keep and cherish such expressions. It is only the written page that one can hold in one’s hand years later and feel the magic of that moment. An old LETTER can be like a flame that still flickers.

Paris Loves Mimi: The Perfect Sleuth

And why not! Mimi’s charm was irresistible. Follow the journey of her life in the City of Light, in Barcelona, in London, and even in Manhattan. But Paris was her home, an endroit she loved as much as it loved her – the fragrance of Paris, the flowers, the perfume, the aroma from bistros and fromageries! They all belonged to her.

Mimi, the small black poodle, took the hearts of the Parisians in the capital city of France where she lived with her beautiful PERSON, Nicole Marcel. It was not only Mimi’s sensitivity to nasal clues that made her so adept in solving criminal cases, and drew much attention and acclaim, but it was her charm and personality that seduced the populace.  When Mimi smiled – and oh, she did smile – with her seven pointy teeth in a row – the world smiled with her. Her animal instincts – in many ways superior to those of humans– permitted her to read people – through watching their motions, sensing their moods, really hearing their tones of voice, and above all, smelling the chemical changes in a human body under stress.

Above all, Mimi cared about justice! And oh, how she loved Paris! Mimi! Mais oui!

There are 6 books about Paris and Mimi as well as 7 hotel books, Still Life and Eye of the Beholder.

Stories about Buffy’s life experiences and relationships are also featured on the blog “Your Life Story”. Read More.

My devoted stepson, Michael Cooke, created this coverlet on a fine fabric, as my 98th birthday present. With many of the pictures of the covers of 22 books I have written over the last years, he made a gift for me that is priceless.

It is beautiful, with “Eye of the Beholder”, one of the early books about six artists, centered, and the latest publication, “A Letter”, directly above it.

Now how thoughtful can a stepson be!
I am touched to the core.
